FAQ
Frequently asked questions
To clear up any doubts even before our first call.
How does the first call work?+
It's simple and free of commitment. You describe your situation during a free 30-minute call, by phone or video. We listen to you, identify what you need, and tell you how we can help. You leave with a clear idea of the next steps, whether or not you decide to continue with us.
Do you really handle everything for me?+
Almost everything. We prepare and manage all of your paperwork: gathering documents, filling out forms, comparing offers, drafting letters, contacting authorities and following up on every file. Some steps do legally require your presence in person, such as registering with your municipality or opening a bank account. In those cases, we prepare everything in advance so your visit is quick and stress-free. We also offer in-person support, depending on your region.
Which regions do you cover?+
We're based in the Lake Geneva region and provide in-person support there. For the rest of Switzerland, much of our support happens remotely, by phone, email and mail. During the first call, we tell you precisely what we can do based on your situation and location.
How much do your services cost?+
Our rates are clear and announced upfront: every identifiable task has a fixed price, and you always know what you're committing to before we start. You'll find the details on our Pricing page. And if you're not sure which package fits your situation, that's exactly what the free first call is for: we'll point you toward the simplest and most cost-effective solution.
What happens if my situation is more complicated than expected?+
No bad surprises. If a task turns out to be more complex than anticipated, we let you know and agree together on next steps before going further. You always stay in control, and nothing is billed without your agreement.
Do you sell insurance?+
No. We help you understand and compare offers, and fill out documents, but we don't sell any insurance and don't earn any commission. Our role is to support you with full independence, in your interest alone.
Do you provide legal advice?+
No, we are not lawyers. We take care of your administrative matters, including drafting complaint letters or formal notices. But as soon as a situation requires legal action, we point you toward the right professional: legal protection insurance, a lawyer, or the debt collection office.
Are my documents and information secure?+
Absolutely. Confidentiality is at the heart of our work. Your documents and personal information are handled with the utmost discretion and are never shared without your consent. Trust is the foundation of our relationship.
I don't speak French well, can you still help me?+
Yes. We support an international clientele and can communicate in several languages. If your situation requires a specific translation, we rely on a trusted network so you're always understood and well supported.
I don't see my situation among your services, what should I do?+
Just get in touch. Every situation is different, and our list of services can't cover everything. If you're not sure whether your case falls within our scope, just ask us during the free first call. Chances are we can help you, or point you to the right person.
What administrative steps do I need to take when arriving in Switzerland?+
When you arrive, you generally need to: register with your municipality within 14 days of arrival, take out basic health insurance within 3 months, open a bank account and set up your first contracts (electricity, internet), and complete the steps linked to your residence permit if you're a foreign national. Our "Arrival in Switzerland" support covers all of these steps — you can also follow our free checklist in the Procedures Assistant.
How long does it take to get a Swiss residence permit?+
It depends on your nationality, the type of permit and the canton: generally a few weeks for EU/EFTA nationals, and often several months for other nationalities. The application should in principle be filed before entering Switzerland or right after arrival. We help you prepare a complete file from the start to avoid the back-and-forth that extends processing times.
How do I become self-employed in Switzerland?+
You need to choose a legal status (sole proprietorship, GmbH/Sàrl…), register with an AVS/AI compensation fund, set up bookkeeping, and register for VAT once you reach the threshold. Our "Launching my own business" support structures all of these steps so you can start your activity fully compliant.
What steps do I need to take before leaving Switzerland?+
Before leaving, you need to: notify your municipality of your departure, cancel your contracts and insurance while respecting notice periods, close or transfer your bank accounts, and check that no formality has been forgotten (rental deposit, last invoices). Our "Leaving Switzerland" support takes care of all these steps so you can leave with peace of mind.
How do I cancel a contract in Switzerland (insurance, subscription, health insurer)?+
Each contract has its own notice periods and cancellation terms (often 3 months before the annual renewal date for insurance, for example). You need to identify the renewal date, draft a proper cancellation letter and send it on time, ideally by registered mail. If you're not sure where to start or the cancellation is dragging on, we handle it for you — including in case of a dispute.
